Annual Katina ceremony of Liverpool Sri Sambuddha viharaya was held with the participation of the chief prelate (Mahanayaka) of Sri Lanka Ramanna Maha Nikaya, Most Venerable.Napana Pemasiri Mahanayaka Thero, Chief Incumbent, Most Venerable.Keppetiyagoda Gunawansa Nayaka Thero,other monks from various temples in United Kingdom and with a huge gathering of devotees on Sunday the 06th November 2016 at Prescot Town Hall.

Liverpool Sri Sambuddha Viharaya celebrated the Poson Full Moon Poya Day On 25th and 26th of June 2016 at temple premises under the guidance of Chief incumbent for both  Jethavana Buddhist vihara in Birmingham and Sri Sambuddha viharaya in Liverpool ,The most Venerable.Keppetiyagoda Gunawansa nayaka thera with a big gathering.

Sri Sambuddha viharaya had organised a series of meritorious deeds to celebrate Vesak on a grand scale on the 21st  and 22rd of May 2016 under the guidance of Chief incumbent, most venerable ,Keppetiyagoda Gunawansa nayaka thero.Observance of eight precepts started from 8am and ended at 5pm,many devotees took part in it.Evening Buddha vandana with Bodhi pooja was held from 6pm to 06.45pm and then held children’s vesak lantern competition until 7pm on 21st May.

Liverpool Sri sambuddha viharaya organised this event  for the second time on 20th March 2016 at 07.00 p.m.  with the intention of building up good relationship between parents and children.A big gathering attended this programme and it was conducted by Ven.Thissapura Sugatharathana thero under the guidance of chief incumbent for Jethavana Buddhist vihara,Birmingham and Sri Sambuddha viharaya Liverpool most Ven.Keppetiyagoda Gunawansa Nayaka thera. Medin Poya Day programme  was also held  with meditations,dhamma sermons and dhamma discussions since morning.

A special dhamma sermon was conducted at Sri sambuddha viharaya in Liverpool on Sunday evening 13th December 2015 from 06:30 p.m to 07:30 P.m by Most Ven.Borelle Athula thera who is very versatile,well known monk and the chief incumbent of sri Athula dassana Buddhist centre in Baddhaloka Mawatha in Colombo.
